Worth Unlimited
Worth Unlimited's work provides early intervention, allowing young people’s issues to be heard and supported at an early stage to steer them onto positive pathways, avoiding poor outcomes, and preventing the perpetuation of violence into the next generation.
Rotherham Foster Carers Association
This funding will support the expansion and improvement of an existing initiative. Their youth club was originally set up in 2017 for Mockingbird Hub children, and was funded by one individual. The purpose of it is to provide Looked After Children with a safe space to learn how to socialise with the help and support of their carers. It also offers an area where siblings who are not placed together can be together, providing a fun space to make memories rather than the very bland contact centres.
Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA)
The purpose of this initiative is to build on the successful 'surge response' work that was funded by the VRU in the last financial year. This addressed the increase in the range and complexity of the issues faced by homeless and vulnerable women and children living in housing-related support services in Rotherham, Doncaster, and Sheffield.
People Focused Group
The aim of this project is to work in partnership with South Yorkshire Police and their Doncaster Domestic Abuse Teams.
