Community Safety Partnerships

The Community Safety Partnerships bring together key local partners in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Sheffield to coordinate the local response to violence.

This includes the VRU, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, the local council, South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, the NHS and the National Probation Service, among others.

Each Community Safety Partnership produces a local violence reduction action plan to deliver the response at a local level. These plans identify local gaps and actions for improvement against the violence reduction priorities. The Violence Reduction Executive Board receives reports on the violence reduction action plans.
