The Youth Association
StreetSmart is an initiative which provides wrap-around support for young people at street level – a setting where parents, schools, and most other services have little reach. The project aims to contribute to a reduction in violence and crime uptake, increased levels of empowerment, and improved mental wellbeing.
Centrepoint
This project aims to support homeless young people in Barnsley to focus on education and employment, steering them away from negative and damaging influences, and providing tailored support to rebuild their confidence and raise their aspirations about learning and work.
Barnsley Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Services (BSARCS)
The grant to BSARCS enables them to increase their capacity, employing an additional full-time equivalent Wellbeing Worker to ensure that children have to wait less than two months to access effective, timely support.
