The violence reduction fund allows us to award funding to community based projects which play an important role in the fight to reduce crime.
Community groups from Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield have all been successful in the first round of the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Fund, with some covering the whole of South Yorkshire.

FRESH Woodhouse have received £6,510 from the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit to deliver provision with children young people and families within the local community.

Fight For Good
Sport Society Success Network have been awarded £39,181 for their ‘Fight for Good’ project to work with young people in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield using boxing as a way to learn new skills.
Greenacre School has received £20,000 funding from the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit to fund a full-time a higher-level teaching assistant to work with pupils who are at risk of displaying violence.
Grimesthorpe Family Centre
Funding was provided for the purchase of a new boiler so that the youth club and boxing club could continue meeting in a warm environment.
