Purpose
The aim of this project is to address specific issues affecting vulnerable young women and girls, their relationships with peers and parents, and the associated risks of becoming victims and in some circumstances of becoming perpetrators.

The aim of this project is to address specific issues affecting vulnerable young women and girls, their relationships with peers and parents, and the associated risks of becoming victims and in some circumstances of becoming perpetrators.
The initiative aims to ensure that at-risk young women and survivors of abuse can access the support they need through promotion and delivery of evidence-based and gender-specific therapeutic interventions.
Some of the interventions included are:
- ‘Escape the Trap’, an accredited teenage relationship abuse programme. This is specifically designed to help young people recognise abuse and acquire prevention skills and strategies to protect themselves
- Accessible therapeutic support, including counselling and CMT (creative movement psychotherapy sessions)
- ‘Who’s in Charge’, a TVAP (teenage violence against parents) programme, to support parents to manage conflict and reduce the potential for escalation and further harm.
The project is targeted at:
- Young women and girls affected by or at risk of sexual abuse, domestic violence, or exploitation. The majority will be girls aged 11-19 years, including teenage parents
- Parents experiencing or at risk of violence and abuse from their children
