Purpose
To help young people with the ever increasing demand in support with mental health including anxiety, grief, trauma, psychological effects of isolation, providing them the opportunity to talk though their experiences of isolation, fatigue, stress and boredom during lockdown and after.

The Unity Sessions programme is designed to support the mental health of young people in the community, providing them a safe environment to talk through their issues and experiences.
The Unity Sessions programme is to help young people with the ever increasing demand in support with mental health including anxiety, grief, trauma and psychological effects of isolation, providing them the opportunity to talk though their experiences of isolation, fatigue, stress and boredom during lockdown and after.
The aim of this project is to offer a bespoke local package of youth and family support that responses and aims to:
– Encourage safe, nurturing and stable relationships between children and their parents, providing alternative pathways for those already entrenched in violence, seeking to prevent the incidence of serious violence and anti-social behaviour
– To manage and address those issues when they occur, re-establish the provision of tried and tested community based youth services in the wake of COVID 19 community recovery response particularly as lockdown measures are lifted.
– Identifying young people at risk in a timely manner before problems escalate
– Offering safe ‘non-judgmental’ spaces for young people to avoid risk and share their personal experiences and concerns
– Safeguarding young people who are deemed to be at risk of harm
– Enhancing their existing provision of support to young people and their families
