Quick summary

This project will engage young people at street level.

This project will engage young people at street level who are vulnerable to crime, on the fringes of society, or excluded/suspended from education, and develop multiple street forums for them to voice issues of concern.

The Street Voice programme provides an opportunity for some of the most marginalised and disengaged young people to have their voices heard, reaching those who would not traditionally be involved in this type of work.

They intend to make progress towards the following aims:

  • Empower young people on the verge of becoming involved in crime to have influence in their local area.
  • Improve self-assurance and motivation in young people on the verge of becoming involved in crime.
  • Reduce vilification of young people.
