Purpose
The purchase of a van to deliver outreach interventions into communities with high levels of substance misuse and public drug and alcohol use activity.

The funding enabled Sheffield City Council to purchase of a van to deliver outreach interventions into communities or individuals involved in substance misuse, public drug and alcohol use activity. A dedicated contact number to report issues requiring quick response is also provided.
The funding enabled Sheffield City Council to purchase of a van to deliver outreach interventions into communities in with high levels of substance misuse and public drug and alcohol use activity.
The staff using the van will actively approach individuals and can be approached in public. There will also be a dedicated phone number for community organisations to report any issues in certain areas for a quick response.
Vulnerabilities include substance misuse, mental health, offending behaviour both low and high level, rough sleeping, begging and homelessness and any other additional vulnerabilities experienced by individuals who will receive interventions via the outreach van.
