The aim of the initiative is to support the development of resources and material used to accompany their programmes to tackle domestic abuse.

The aim of the initiative is to support the development of resources and material used to accompany their programmes to tackle domestic abuse.
The main aims of this initiative are:
- Address issues of domestic abuse (DA) and improve attitudes towards women and girls
- Improve and update existing DA prevention and recovery tools/resources, ensuring they are inclusive, up-to-date, and relevant
- Improve and maintain engagement in both preventative and recovery programmes
- Raise awareness of DA/Violence Against Women and Girls; the actions which can be taken by individuals to support victims/survivors; and the services which are available, their impact, and how they can be accessed
Anticipated outcomes/benefits include:
- Raising awareness of DA, how this presents and manifests in intimate and familiar relationships
- Develop understanding of how to prevent and respond to DA, making this everyone’s responsibility
- Demonstrating care and value to current and potential service users
- Raising the profile of services, ensuring people know about and have access to the support they need at the earliest opportunity
- Extend support available, and increase opportunities for self-study and self -directed recovery
