Purpose
To develop a strong online community focused around gaming to support young people aged 12 to 17.
Quick summary
Developing a strong online gaming community to educate young people on staying safe online.
In addition to gaming sessions, Rotherham Parent Carers Forum would also host podcasts for both children and their parents to access together to offer advice and support in relation to keeping safe online, inviting guest speakers to hold Q&A sessions.
Young people would benefit as follows:
- Positive interactions with peers in a safe environment
- Development of friendships
- Reduced isolation
- Reduced anxiety and depression
- Increased learning and knowledge in relation to online safety
- Provide an outlet for fun

The aim of this project is to increase capacity for trauma-informed support in schools and homes. This is an identified need of the children and young people in the families who access their organisation.
Young Women’s Housing Project
The purpose of this initiative is to identify at risk women and girls aged 10-19, and deliver specialist support/interventions which address their relationships with peers, intimate partners, dependent children, and parents.
