Quick summary

The aim of the programme is to provide youth space in Gleadless, supported by Sheffield Council Youth Services and Sheffield United Community Foundation.

The aim of this project is to provide safe spaces for young people, for conversations, learning, challenge, and growth. By providing safe spaces, the aim is to improve integration; reduce incidences of anti-social behaviour and crime; prevent behaviours from escalating; and, in some cases, prevent the exploitation of vulnerable young people.

Young people need positive activities and role models. This project is the start of building these relationships in Gleadless Valley. It will challenge some of the young peoples’ current and emerging behaviours and norms, and increase the sense of connection young people feel to their local community.
