FURD are supporting local young people primarily from the BAME communities, utilising their purpose-built youth and community centre, U-Mix, which will provide a safe and structured environment for local young people to produce a film alongside one-to-one mentoring.

They are aiming to support young people, who are ‘at risk’ and aged 10-17, and provide them with a deeper understanding of the impact of serious and violent crime. This includes the negative effects it has on the victim, the perpetrator, and wider society. It is hoped that this will lead to a number of young people making better life choices in relation to future involvement in crime and anti-social behaviour.
