To provide food parcels to families and individuals struggling to feed themselves.
Individuals who access this service will in some form of financial crisis and will be struggling to feed themselves and their families.
Once food parcels were given to those who qualify within the borough of Barnsley, they were then referred through various referral agencies and pathways such as: IDAS, Social Services, Mental Health Teams, Schools, health visitors, Probation, Humankind, Local Welfare Assistance, Housing Associations and more.
Within the parcels of those who had children, activity packs were incorporated. Also winter warmed packs were added to every parcel.
