Purpose

The aim of the programme is to work with grassroots partners to create new routes of engagement, awareness, learning, and support for women within Rotherham’s most marginalised ethnic communities who are subject to violence and abuse.

The purpose of the project is to work with grassroots partners to create new routes of engagement, awareness, learning, and support for women within Rotherham’s most marginalised ethnic communities who are subject to violence and abuse.

This initiative aims to prevent and intervene earlier to address abuse, therefore minimising harm and increasing access to justice.

The aims of the programme are:

  1. Improved awareness of VAWG within these communities
  2. Improved understanding of routes to support and safety so women can access support sooner

The initiative’s support worker will aim to achieve improvements to wellbeing, safety, and access to practical needs through 1-1 work.
