Ad Astra provide activities for young people in the St Helens Ward of Barnsley, by creating a safe and welcoming environment. They currently run two youth club sessions and two inclusive Dance and Mental Health sessions each week.

Their aim is to build resilience in young people by increasing their self-esteem and self-confidence, by offering different experiences and interactions with others to build their self-esteem, and building their belief in themselves and their abilities to help their self confidence.

All this is done through their personal and social education programme, which offers opportunities to build these skills whilst ensuring wellbeing is at the centre of all of their work.

The youth club sessions are for different age groups and the Mind and Dance sessions are for young people aged 13+.
