Our Community Matters
This initiative has two aims: to build parents'/carers' understanding around early developmental trauma, attachment, and the impact of trauma on children through to adulthood; and to provide opportunity for a minimum of 13 children and their families to have access to 12 sessions of trauma and therapeutic services/sessions (156 sessions delivered in total).
Jade Youth and Community
The purpose of this project is to provide youth work, counselling, and family support for some of the most vulnerable and disengaged families, children, and young people who often have little or no other access to support.
Club Doncaster Community Sports and Education Foundation
The focus of this initiative is to engage targeted groups of female students in Year 8 (aged 12-13) in a series of weekly school-based workshops to improve their understanding of topics linked to Violence Against Women and Girls.
Worth Unlimited Doncaster
Their work provides early intervention, allowing young people’s issues to be heard and supported at an early stage to steer them onto positive pathways, avoiding poor outcomes and preventing the perpetuation of violence into the next generation.
Doncaster Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling Service (DRASACS)
Their Children and Young People service provides counselling and support for children and young people who have been impacted by rape and/or sexual abuse.
Barnsley Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Service (BSARCS)
The funding has been provided to maintain their existing provision of therapeutic wellbeing support to the most vulnerable children in need of their service.
Barnsley FC Community Trust
The purpose of this project is to increase participation of young people in evening Kicks sessions, with a specific focus on engaging girls and promoting gender equality; and increase knowledge and awareness of community safety, anti-social behaviour, violence prevention, and mental health support through educational workshops.
