The South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has supported a Barnsley College Wellbeing Event.
The Event, held at the College’s campus in Barnsley town centre, brought together a range of services and providers to deliver advice and resources on wellbeing for both staff and students.
The VRU shared a stall at the event with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), chatting to staff and students about their work across South Yorkshire.
More than 100 people attended the event.
Graham Jones, Head of the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit said: “I’m pleased that the VRU was able to support Barnsley College’s Wellbeing Event.
“As part of our work to prevent and reduce violence, we work with young people across South Yorkshire to improve mental health and wellbeing, and hopefully thereby prevent involvement in violence.
“It was fantastic to meet so many staff and students at the event, and great to chat to them about the work we do.”
