The South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) has supported a Rotherham Together Partnership (RTP) Showcase Event.
The RTP is a group which brings together a number of local organisations from across Rotherham, with the aim of working in partnership to improve the quality of life of local residents.
The Event was held at the New York Stadium, and included presentations from the Leader of Rotherham Council, Councillor Chris Read; Rotherham Council Chief Executive, Sharon Kemp, and other organisations from across the borough.
The Event also gave members of the RTP the opportunity to have a stall and chat to attendees about the work they are doing. The VRU shared a stall with Rotherham Council’s Community Safety team.
Graham Jones, Head of the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit said: “At the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit, our ambition is to work in partnership with organisations and communities to prevent and reduce violence across South Yorkshire.
“Events such as this are an important opportunity to build relationships between different groups, learn more about the work which is taking place, and look at ways we can all work together on our shared objectives.”
