The South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit has recently produced a South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Strategy, in partnership with key stakeholders and communities from across South Yorkshire. The strategy is going through local political processes for endorsement and will be published soon.
While that is happening the Violence Reduction Unit and Community Safety Partnerships are working together to produce Local Violence Reduction Action Plans for Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. Voices from our communities are essential to making sure the actions in the plan will make a difference.
Rachel Staniforth, Joint Head of the South Yorkshire Violence Reduction Unit said: “The people of South Yorkshire are our experts. They know what causes violence in their community, as well as what will prevent it. It is important that they are involved from the beginning.
“We want to hear from as many people as possible, of all ages. What they tell us will inform local action plans, so please take five minutes to complete our survey.”
Please complete and share where possible, the below short survey, that will ask about your experiences of violence, what you think causes violence, and how we can all work together to stop it.
